Student Positions

As part of the CDL’s Teaching mission, we are devoted to training and working with undergraduate students who are eager to apply their knowledge of child development to the field. The CDL gives preference to our returning undergraduate students. Ideally, students would first serve as a Volunteer, then participate in an Internship, and subsequently apply for open Assistant Teacher positions.

INTERN – HDFS 601 & HDFS 501

Brief Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Intern is to support our Teaching mission and assist in the care of children in the CDL. This includes providing assistance in the supervision, management, and guidance of a classroom of children, as well as preparation for daily activities and routines.  The ECD Intern receives direct support from Lead Teachers and reports to the Assistant Director. This opportunity is for only for students enrolling in both the HDFS 601 Internship course (and 1-credit HDFS 501 Theory to Practice course for Fall/Spring interns).
