Cecilia Hook

I find joy everyday learning new things, expanding my world view and getting to know those around me. I have been lucky enough to share this wonder with families and children in every organization I have worked with. Throughout high school, I juggled working as a nanny and working as a tour guide at Cave of the Mounds. During my summers in college, I worked with families and children at Sugar Creek, a camp located in a little place called Ferryville, Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2021 with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and a Child and Youth Care minor alongside a French minor.  After graduating from college, I spent a year at Sugar Creek working as year-round programming and communications staff. For close to a year, in 2023-2024, I lived in Fatick, Senegal, participating in a cultural exchange and volunteer program where I learned about and worked with community-led preschools.
