Duck Student Assistant

Hi, families! My name is Luxie and I’m excited to be returning to the CDL as a student assistant in the Duck classroom. I’m going into my junior year here at UW-Madison, studying Human Development and Family Studies with a specialty in Child Development. I am also earning certificates in Promoting Activity for Diverse Abilities, and Disability Rights and Services. Additionally, this semester I am a part of the HBCD research lab as an undergraduate research assistant. With this, I hope to become a Child Life Specialist, supporting children and their families in hospitals through developmental play and research-based education. When I’m not here on campus, I reside in Minnesota, but I am Canadian! In my free time, I love to spend time with my friends; shopping, trying new coffee shops and places to eat, or playing card games. I’m excited to begin a new year here at the CDL, and can’t wait to get to know all of the kiddos!
